Eli Marvin, a senior catcher at Arkansas-Monticello, was named the Great American Conference’s player of the week. He was 14-19 at the plate in four games last week. Against Oklahoma Baptist, he homered and drove in seven in game one. He went 5-for-5 with a home run and four RBI in the second game. In the finale, he hit two home runs, drove in three and scored three runs.

Chase Oberle, a graduate pitcher at Ouachita Baptist, was named co-pitcher of the week for the GAC, alongside sophomore Easton Hurley of Southern Arkansas. Oberle threw a complete game this weekend and recorded seven strikeouts. Hurley, from Hot Springs, threw seven innings and gave up just three singles while striking out four.
