Junior pitcher Brannon Westmoreland has been named co-pitcher of the week for the Ohio Valley Conference.

Westmoreland threw six shutout innings against UCA over the weekend, with eight strikeouts. This season, Westmoreland owns a 2–0 record with a 1.52 ERA. He has thrown 23.2 innings, allowing just 13 hits and four earned runs. He leads the OVC with 26 strikeouts and ranks 43rd nationally in WHIP at .080.

All four of his starts have lasted at least 5.2 innings, and he has recorded six or more strikeouts in three outings. He threw 103 pitches against Central Arkansas in the back half of a doubleheader. Opposing hitters are batting just .155 against Westmoreland this season in 91 at-bats.
